COVID-19 Update April 7, 2020:

📊 There are 25 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in BC. There are a total of 1,291 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in BC. There are 458 confirmed cases in Fraser health region.

✅ More than 900 spaces have been secured at 23 sites including hotels, motels and community centres throughout B.C. to help those most vulnerable to self-isolate.

🔴 I am very sad to report that there have been 4 additional deaths in BC due to COVID-19. This brings the total number of deaths in BC to 43. As Minister Dix mentioned: to all those impacted, we see and we feel your grief. I extend my condolences to all the families in this truly difficult time.

✅ 805 people have fully recovered from COVID-19.

You are proving that social distancing works. As Dr. Henry said, now is the time to double-down on our efforts. Every day that we socially distance is making an impact. We can do this.
