COVID-19 Update March 25, 2020:

📊 There are 42 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 for a total of 659 confirmed cases in BC. There are 218 cases in the Fraser Health region.

There is a moratorium on evictions during this crisis.

💵 Renters can receive up to $500 of support for their rent per renting unit for three months.

🟥 One more person has passed away due to COVID-19. This brings the total of deaths in the province from COVID-19 to 14. My thoughts are with all of their families.

💵 The federal government has announced a $2,000 per month Canada Emergency Response Benefit for workers financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

🏠 A rent-freeze has been enacted by the province during the COVID-19 epidemic.

🏫 Care home staff are undergoing daily testing and have been assigned to only one facility each.

I know this is an unbelievably difficult time for so many British Columbians. We are working tirelessly to provide people with the supports they need to get through this crisis. Together, we can make it.
