COVID-19 Update March 31, 2020:

πŸ“Š There are 43 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in BC for a total of 1,013 cases. There are 348 confirmed cases in the Fraser Health region.

βœ… 38 more people with COVID-19 have fully recovered, for a provincial total of 507 recoveries.

πŸŸ₯ I am very sad to report that there have been 5 new additional deaths due to COVID-19. This brings the total number of deaths in the province to 24. 4 of these deaths are from the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 1 is in the Fraser Health region. I wish to express my condolences to all of their families.

πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈπŸ‘Ά The province today announced a new program to match essential service workers with child care supports in their communities; workers can call 1 888 338-6622 and dial option 4 or online at: www.gov.bc.ca/essential-service-child-care.

🚘 Minister of Health Adrian Dix Saturday announced that parking fees at hospital sites in BC have been suspended.

As Dr. Henry continues to say, the coming days and weeks are absolutely critical to avoid the worst impacts on our health care system. It’s up to all of to us, now, to do our part.
