COVID Update April 13, 2020:

πŸ“Š Between April 11 and April 12 there were 25 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in BC; in the past 24 hours there have been 20 new cases. There is a total of 1490 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in BC. There are 591 cases in the Fraser Health region.

πŸ”΄ 11 more people have passed away from COVID-19 in BC. The total number of deaths in BC is now 69. As Dr. Henry said, our hearts go out to all the families and the caregivers of those who we have lost in the last few months.

βœ… As Minister Dix said, thanks to the great work of our health care workers, 905 people have fully recovered from COVID-19 in BC.

✈ Beginning Friday April 10, international travelers arriving in BC must present a 14-day isolation plan. Since then, over 7,000 people have returned to British Columbia.

βœ… Through the COVID-19 Supply Hub and other sources, BC continues to acquire Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other medical equipment, including a generous offer of over 250,000 N95 respirator masks from the government of Alberta.

πŸ₯ There are over 4,400 empty acute care beds in BC.

πŸ›³ This year there was 92% less traffic on some of the main BC Ferries routes this Easter weekend.
